retoria, South Africa – The STEAM Festival Revision Game Show Season 2, 2026, got underway on the 13th of March 2026 with an action-packed first game between Uniculucus Tutorial Centre (UTC) and Pretoria Institute of Learning (PIL). The event, held at the South African State Theatre, was a resounding success, with UTC emerging as the winners of the day.
The build-up to the games began at 11am, with our team visiting PIL to capture the excitement and preparations of the learners. The scene then shifted to the State Theatre, where hosts Luke Osagie and Pako Tong kept the energy high as the games got underway at 1pm.
The learners competed in five thrilling categories: acting, singing, dancing, skipping rope, and stone tossing. UTC dominated the competition, securing 11 gold medals, 6 silver medals, while PIL put up a strong fight with 7 gold medals and 10 Silver medals.
We’re thrilled with the outcome,” said the UTC team captain. “We worked hard to prepare for this moment, and it’s amazing to see our efforts paying off.”
The event also featured an opening performance by a talented learner from ST Aquinas College Letlhlogonolo Mahlangu, who showcased her song called generic code with music video and performed live on stage. “I’m so grateful to have been scouted and given this platform,” she said. Joined by Soulful Kay previous Idols SA contestant.
STEAM Festival founder, “Chris Mocks” expressed his delight with the event’s success. “It was an incredible day, and we’re thrilled to see the learners having so much fun while showcasing their STEM skills,” he said.
The next game is set to take place on April 17th, featuring Gauteng Central College and Pretoria Technical High School. Gates open at 11am, with the games kicking off at 1pm.
