On 3 March 2026, we hosted a powerful and successful session at American Corner Pretoria. The day marked the completion of our Cisco Introduction to AI course, and I am proud to report that all 40 of our previous learners successfully passed the course.
Seeing every learner complete and pass was a big moment. What started as curiosity turned into commitment, and commitment turned into achievement. Immediately after completion, all 40 learners enrolled for their second Cisco certificate — Introduction to Internet of Things (IoT) under the Cisco Networking Academy. They are expected to complete this certification next week.
The class was also flooded with new interest. We welcomed more than 25 new students who registered and enrolled for the AI course. Their presence brought fresh energy into the room, and they have also committed to continuing with the IoT course thereafter.
We were further honored by the presence of representatives from the U.S. Embassy. Ms. Gena Rhodes and Mr. Landen Raszick attended the session and Mr. Raszick who is connected with the University of Venda, delivered a profound guest lecture on Artificial Intelligence.
His session was eye-opening and deeply engaging. He facilitated an interactive activity where students were given papers containing statements about AI and were asked to determine whether they were myths or facts. The discussion that followed was powerful — students questioned, debated, and reflected critically. The engagement in the room was on another level.
The alignment between his lecture and the AI curriculum we are teaching was personally exciting for me. It confirmed that the foundation we are giving learners is relevant and globally aligned.
Overall, the session was vibrant, full, and inspiring. From 40 successful completions to over 25 new enrollments, the growth is visible. The space at American Corner Pretoria continues to be a hub of digital empowerment, and we remain grateful for the opportunity to facilitate these programs there.
This is not just training — it is transformation in motion.
